1959년 미국에서 만들어진 영화 '피서지에서 생긴일(A SUMMER PLACE)' 은 
젊은이의 사랑과 슬픔을 그린 영화로 
무명 스타인 트로이 도나휴를 일약 청춘의 우상으로 만들어 주었다.

아름다운 피서지를 배경으로 흐르는 이 주제곡은 아직도 애청되고 있는데 
이곡은 1960년 빌보드 차트에서 1위를 차지했었다 

대서양에 접한 휴양지에서 만난 청춘남녀와 
대를 거슬러 올라가는 그들의 어머니 아버지의 사랑 이야기.

이 영화 이후 푸른눈에 애조 띤 얼굴을 한
 트로이 도나휴와 잘빠진 몸에 환상적인 금발을 한 산드라 디는 
60년대 청춘의 상징처럼 되었다.
